NuriFlex announced on July 1 that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) to collaborate on the integration and utilization of apartment Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) data.

The agreement aims to establish a cooperative framework for providing more efficient energy services by leveraging apartment AMI data developed under the Korean government's Green New Deal initiative, while promoting the growth of data-driven energy businesses.

Under the partnership, the two companies plan to enhance the competitiveness of energy services by utilizing apartment AMI data generated through the Green New Deal project and jointly develop new data-driven business models. Through this collaboration, they aim to expand the utilization of electricity consumption data and establish a foundation for delivering more efficient energy management services.

As part of the agreement, NuriFlex will build the network infrastructure required to connect Green New Deal apartment AMI data with KEPCO and provide the relevant data. Based on this platform, the two companies will cooperate to improve electricity-use efficiency, develop new energy services utilizing AMI data, and identify new business opportunities.

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is an intelligent smart metering system that enables the real-time collection and analysis of electricity consumption data. Beyond automated meter reading, AMI serves as a core enabling technology for a wide range of energy services, including energy consumption analysis, energy efficiency services, demand response (DR), and distributed energy resource management.

NuriFlex has deployed and operates approximately 6.52 million AMI systemsfor electric utilities in Korea and overseas. Building on this partnership, the company plans to develop new services and business models that maximize the value of energy data.
